In the world of performance ‘Triple Threat’ is a standard industry term used to describe someone who can act, sing and dance.
At Young and Talented our programme uses these three disciplines of acting, singing and dancing to give students ‘Triple Talent’ training – coaching them to become well-rounded individuals on Stage, on Screen and in real Life.
Our 39 week Triple Talent Programme takes place every Saturday 10.30am till 1.30pm during term time for those aged between 6 and 16. And 11:30am-12:30pm for those aged between 3 and 5 at Oxford House, Bethnal Green. Please go to The Broadway Theatre page for the Barking acting sessions.
The 39 weeks are divided into three terms:
- September – December. The first term builds an ensemble — the focus is on making new friends, building relationships, learning new skills and exploring individual talents.
- January – April. The second term devises a theatre show — they work on script writing, choreography and song writing. All the material created goes towards the final show.
- April – July. The third term of production — here the focus is on rehearsing the show ready for its audience at the end of term performance.
We achieve the above by splitting the 6-16 year olds into three age groups and leading them through a rotation of acting, singing and dancing classes.
All students have the opportunity to work towards stage performances and presentations. We pride ourselves in creating a dedicated, enthusiastic and very talented group of young performers.

Our Bethnal Green school coaches a diverse group of young people of all socio-economic backgrounds, religions and ethnicities. Using our excellent track record of engagement we produce productions that are directly relevant to the lives of inner-city young people.
London Borough of Tower Hamlets support Young and Talented through the Mainstream Grant which provides free scholarship places for young people aged between 12 and 16 who live in Tower Hamlets. Fees for other aged children are maintained at less than £5 per hour per week.
We believe that young people benefit immensely from meeting the challenges that live performance provides. We motivate students to attain their personal goals. We give them the courage to express themselves as individuals and empower them to explore the possibilities and opportunities open to them in every aspect of their lives by providing a challenging and vibrant environment in which to explore and develop their imagination.
