On the 2nd of November The National Lottery launched their 500000 Thank You Campaign. On behalf of everyone at Young and Talented we would like to say a huge thank you to The National Lottery. The grant we have received from them has allowed us to reach more young people than ever before and continue our work across East London boroughs.

On Saturday the 5th of November Young and Talented at Oxford House welcomed former EastEnder cast member Cheryl Fergison to talk to our young performers. The students were very excited to have a celebrity guest join Young and Talented to celebrate our project! This gesture has already raised their aspirations. The school gave a fantastic performance and enjoyed meeting Cheryl.

The campaign is also funding our Take The Stage Youth Theatre Festival at Broadway Theatre Barking in April 2017 which will see over 100 young people aged 5 – 19 take part in a festival of plays written by Emma Dennis-Edwards, Ashley Joseph, Alistair McGowan and co written Roy Alexader Weise and Tyler Mitchell. All will be directed by Roy Alexander Weise and designed by Lily Faith Knight.

We are excited and proud of all the exciting projects and events we have coming up. Well done to everyone at Young and Talented.
