Productions

Every year in July all Young and Talented students star in a production. Our shows are always written from the ideas of the group. They contribute to script writing, song writing and choreography. Our shows are always cutting edge, exciting and an exhilarating experience for family audiences.

Below are some of our past productions which have been performed at The Broadway Theatre, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Stratford Circus, Rich Mix, Oxford House, Nettlefold Hall, Hoxton Hall, Oval House and the Barbican.

B_ROCK HEADERB_Rock

Together with Pilot Theatre we are working on a new project over the next three terms.

The B_Rock project will see young people explore their own interpretation of the novel Brighton Rock, Pilot’s next touring production. They will create through devising and test their ideas at an informal scratch performance in December. Pilot will be included in this sharing and offer support to digitally connect the groups, as well as working with representatives from Y&T as digital interns.

Key scenes and extracts from Brighton Rock will inspire the students, and they’ll explore the themes, characters and plot elements that are pertinent to their adaptation of the novel. The sessions aim to encourage young people to feed into the developing of the production; seeing Pilot gaining from the experience of working with Young and Talented and our young people gaining from their opinions being valued for the development of a professional piece of theatre.
