Young and Talented have won a place in the 2017 Grand Final of the Jack Petchey Glee Club Challenge.

Our Bethnal Green teens aged 11-16 secured the place after the regional final at the Broadway Theatre, Barking. The competition, now in its sixth year, had four regional finals across Essex and London.

Our Young and Talented students joined more than 200 young performers to take part in boot camps run by West End theatre professionals, which were designed to develop talent, teamwork and creativity.

The group has been rehearsing since September with artistic director Suzann McLean (Eastenders, BUPA advert, Honourable Woman), choreographer Christopher Gordon (Thriller Live, Aladdin, Fame) and Musical Director Jordan Xavier (Rebellion, CreativeMusicX).

We are thrilled that we got through and can’t wait for the final. The group took the first half by storm with a politically charged medley that voiced young peoples’ opinion on Brexit.Brexit 4

Their second performance was another medley that gave a message about the values in life and how to succeed. Our young performers were fantastic and an inspiration to young people everywhere.
