This year has been another great year of success for Young and Talented. With the continued support of our funders we have been able to reach more young people and help them grow in confidence, achieve Arts Awards accreditation and work professionally on TV. A massive thanks to everyone’s continued support.

Y&T received the UK recognition Award 2016, our tutor Roy Alexander Weise won the JMK best young director award and 5 star reviews for his production of The Mountaintop at The Young Vic and student Reece Buttery’s CBBC show The Secret Life of Boys received a BAFTA… these are just some of the highlights from 2016.

We ended our year with commendation from London borough of Tower Hamlets for our 3 choir performances at The Docklands Museum, The Museum of Childhood and Victoria Park Family Festive Day… and will enter 2017 with an excited announcement that Y&T has been successfully selected to be part of National Theatre Connections in which will see our Barking students performing Zero for The Young Dudes! by award winning writer Alistair McDowall in London’s West End, The Soho Theatre and our Bethnal Green students have won through to the Jack Petchey Glee Club Regional finals.

None of this would have been possible without our fantastic students and their supportive families and friends. Every week we love to welcome these dedicated young performers to our creative programmes and watch them grow.

On behalf of the whole Young and Talented team we wish you love, peace and happiness this holiday season and the year ahead. See you in 2017 for and even bigger and more exciting year!
