On May 31st Young and Talented’s founder and Artistic Director, Suzann McLean,won the prestigious Gold award for Best Performance at The British Arrows Awards.
Her beautiful and touching performance For Owning The Dancefloor has been a huge success for Bupa.
The British Arrows has been celebrating the best craft and campaigns in advertising for 40 years. For Owning the Dance Floor also won three awards in total. Lucy Pardee won for best casting and the ad itself won an award for its campaign in the financial and corporate services category.
For Owning The Dancefloor was made by WCRS for Academy Films and directed by Martin De Thurah.
Suzann is directing three productions this summer as well. Suzann’s amazing production with Theatre Royal Stratford East’s Senior Plus Drama, Extremism by Anders Lustgarten has been selected to transfer to the National Theatre by NT Connections on June 28th. Tickets are going quick so book soon.
On July 16th at Theatre Royal Stratford East our very own original musical Zion will be performed by our Oxford House branch of Y&T. Tickets for this will go on sale in the coming weeks.
Finally Robin Hood: The Arrow Of Destiny, which Suzann is co-directing with York Theatre’s Artistic Director, Damian Cruden will be on from the 4th of August until the 2nd of September at York Theatre Royal. Tickets are on sale now.
